Standalone Battery Storage Resources RFP

 

This Request for Proposal (RFP) for Standalone Battery Storage Resources is one of three RFPs being released pursuant to Tri-State's 2023 Electric Resource Plan (ERP) filed with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. Bidders may register and access the Renewable and Dispatchable RFPs at the following links. 

 

  • Renewables, both wind and solar, or renewables paired with battery storage - Renewable RFP 
    • Natural gas-fired generation or geothermal resources - Dispatchable RFP

    Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit cooperative power supplier. Our mission is to provide our member systems a reliable, affordable and responsible supply of electricity in accordance with cooperative principles. We are a cooperative of 44 members, including 41 electric distribution cooperatives and public power districts in four states that together provide power to more than one million electricity consumers across nearly 200,000 square miles in the West. 

     

    RFP Registration and Documentation 

     

    • Website registration is required to access Standalone Battery Storage RFP documents and to submit a bid. Tri-State will use the registered email address to communicate with Bidders via email if required.
      • If bidder(s) encounter problems receiving a confirmation email after registering, please add 'no-reply@1898andco.com' to bidder's safe sender list.
    • Submitting a Notice of Intent to Bid (NOI) is encouraged during the registration process. 
      • By submitting an NOI, bidders will be informed via email of updates in the Announcements and FAQ sections of this website.
      • To submit an NOI after registration, please go to Download RFP Documents tab and click on the NOI under Forms to provide prompted information.

    Bid Fee

     

    The non-refundable fee for evaluating each proposal (Project) is $10,000.  Please refer to the RFP for information related to bid fee requirements and triggers for additional bid fees. Please see the Download RFP Documents tab for Bid Fee Instructions on how to send bid fees to Tri-State.
